Your questions about yoga

Updated October 17, 2026 · sources checked October 17, 2026

In short

Each page here answers one question that people really type about yoga, from first postures to the Sanskrit texts. The answer comes first, in a few lines; then the details, the precautions before any technique, the sources we opened, and the chapter of the site where the subject is treated in full.

In the Praśna Upaniṣad, the "Upanishad of the questions", six seekers come to the sage Pippalāda with fuel in their hands. He asks them to stay a year first, then says: "ask what you wish; if we know, we will tell you everything" (yadi vijñāsyāmaḥ sarvaṃ ha vo vakṣyāma, 1.2 · our translation). This chapter keeps that rule: a real question, an honest answer, and nothing we cannot source.

Good to know

Each question links to the page that treats its subject in full, for example pranayama or the Yoga Sutras. Health answers cite studies with a DOI or a PubMed number and never replace a doctor.
