Yin Yoga: Long Holds, Real Roots, Honest Limits
Where yin yoga really comes from, what research says about fascia, and 24 held postures in three timed sequences of 30, 45 and 60 minutes
Practise yin yoga knowing exactly what it is: the documented history (Paulie Zink, Paul Grilley, Hiroshi Motoyama, Sarah Powers, with dates and sources), what comes from India (Patañjali's steady and easy seat, withdrawal of the senses, verses in Sanskrit with our own translations) and what comes from China and modern anatomy. Then 24 postures with their yin name and Sanskrit equivalent, how to enter, hold and leave each one, three timed sequences of 30, 45 and 60 minutes, gentle breathing and meditation, and an honest chapter on fascia research checked on PubMed.
