Chakras, from the Sources

What the Sanskrit texts really say about the subtle body, and what was added in the twentieth century

Body & energyChakras, from the Sourcesचक्रYOGIDE

Each centre described as the Ṣaṭ-cakra-nirūpaṇa of 1577 describes it, with its petals, letters, element, yantra, seed-syllable, deity and śakti, in Devanagari and IAST, with our own translations of the Upaniṣads and haṭha texts. A clear chapter separates the tradition from modern additions such as rainbow colours, glands and blocked chakras, then three gentle meditations show you how to practise in the spirit of the texts.
